11/1/2006 - Logan Miller Watson was born today to Aunt Sarah & Uncle Danny.
See his pics in the gallery. What a blessing for all these Watson boys!!!
Congrats Danny and Sarah!!!!
---------------------------------------------------------------
10/11/2006 - Tonight Brendan and Brutus (the cat) were having issues (Brutus
does not care for B much). Brut hisses at B and B is scared when that happens.
So Stephen walked up to Brutus and backed him into a closet and shut the door.
So much for B being the protective big brother....
Stephen started to say his ABC's today. You can't really tell other than they
have the same rhythem.
---------------------------------------------------------------
9/28/2006 - THE MULLET IS GONE!!! Stephen got his first haircut today and
now he looks older. He is still quite cute though.
---------------------------------------------------------------
9/25/2006 - Stephen is now 23 pounds and 12 ounces. He is growing so fast.
---------------------------------------------------------------
8/30/2006 - Brendan locked Mommy and Stephen out of the house tonight. They
were not too happy about it and it was a good thing that Daddy was working
and could go open the door.
---------------------------------------------------------------
8/24/2006 - Today is Brendan's first day of school (Mother's Day Out). His
teachers are friends of ours, so we have great expectations for Brendan.
---------------------------------------------------------------
7/20/2006 - Brendan, Mommy and Daddy went to the circus today. We had so
much fun watching the elephant paint (like last year) and getting to see
the people get shot out of the cannon, which was Brendan's favorite.
---------------------------------------------------------------
7/13/2006 - One of Brendan's everyday words is to say that he 'mis-got' something.
That means that he forgot something. We hate to correct him because it is
so cute.
---------------------------------------------------------------
6/3/2006 - Today is Brendan's 4th Birthday. He is so big now!!! Mommy and
Daddy got him a new bike with training wheels and we had all our friends over
to the park to have an 'excercise party'. Check out the pictures in the
gallery. We are so proud to have 'Bubba' and we love him so much.
---------------------------------------------------------------
5/14/2006 - This weekend we went to San Antonio for the first time with Stephen
for Mother's Day. We got to play with Grandma, Grandpa and Aunt Shell. Stephen
does not like spending so much time in the car, so we had to make a few stops
on the way. Other than that, it was a great trip and we all had fun. We got
to eat on the riverwalk and we spent the night in a cabin.
---------------------------------------------------------------
5/12/2006 - This afternoon Stephen decided he wanted outside and opened the
back door and went out. I guess we will need to start locking the door now....
---------------------------------------------------------------
4/25/2006 - We all went to a free concert this evening from MercyMe. They
were great and even went in to the Walmart and signed autographs. The shook
both of the boy's hands and were really nice folks.
---------------------------------------------------------------
4/22/2006 - We all went to Galveston for the weekend. This was Stephen's
first trip down there and boy did he like the beach. You will have to see
the pictures in the gallery to appreciate it.
---------------------------------------------------------------
4/21/2006 - Brendan, Mommy and Daddy all went to see the VeggieTales today.
Bob and Larry were great and we had a very fun time. Afterwards, we went
bowling with Mary, Mr. Steve and Mrs. Kelly (some of our good friends from
church). We all had so much fun and Brendan is a good bowler.
---------------------------------------------------------------
4/16/2006 - Today is Easter and we had a great time hunting for Easter Eggs.
Brendan and Stephen both got a bunch of eggs and some special presents.
---------------------------------------------------------------
4/15/2006 - Today our little Stephen turns 1. He is so much fun and his little
personality is starting to show more and more. For his birthday we went to
visit with Grandma and Grandpa and BeBe, Grandad, Aunt Michelle, Uncle Danny
& Aunt Sarah were there. We also got a big surprise from Uncle Danny and
Aunt Sarah.... There will be a new baby Watson!!!! Congrats to them!!!
---------------------------------------------------------------
4/12/2006 - Today we were in the car waiting for Daddy to get something at the
grocery store when Brendan pointed to a lady and said, "Mommy look, there is
your friend!" I told Brendan I did not know the lady that came out of the store
and he replied, "Mommy, all you have to say is "Hi, what is your name lady?""
I laughed at his response and said, "Mommy is not as brave as you!" He surprised
me by replying back, "What's your problem Mommy? You shy?" ...He knows mama all
too well! :)
---------------------------------------------------------------
4/8/2006 - We had Stephen's first birthday party. We had lots of family and friends
over to celebrate. He had his own little cake and he had it all over himself.
But boy did he have fun.
---------------------------------------------------------------
3/30/2006 - Stephen now has 6 teeth now with another one on the way. He is
taking multiple steps now and is loving it. He also loves eating grapes,
pasta, sliced cheese, goldfish crackers and Brendan's rice milk. He weighs
21 pounds, 5 ounces. He is already wearing 12-18 month clothes. When the
boys stand up back to back, the top of Stephen's head comes to Brendan's neck.
He's going to be a big boy.
Brendan's favorites are still chicken and french fries, but a new favorite
is starting to show....pizza. Yes, we think that he has grown out of the
food allergies and we have given him some pizza and he loves it. He is also
going to be either a politition or a used car salesman. He negotiates everything.
He always tries to negotiate how long he has before nap or bed time. We say
5 minutes and he comes back with 8 minutes.
I love these boys. They sure keep us busy, but we love it.
---------------------------------------------------------------
3/24/2006 - Stephen is now taking steps. He will take a couple and then fall
down. That is very close to walking!!!
---------------------------------------------------------------
2/2/2006 – Stephen got his first tooth today. He already enjoys green beans,
bananas, oyster crackers, green peas and French fries. We also now know for
sure that he does not have any food allergies, so he is only restricted by what
his 1 tooth can chew.
---------------------------------------------------------------
1/1/2006 – Happy New Year!!! We celebrated by letting Brendan throw some more
whooper snappers and we sat out on a blanket in the front yard and watch
fireworks together. The Watsons wish everyone a Happy New Year.
---------------------------------------------------------------
12/25/2005 – Merry Christmas all. We celebrated by having lots of family
and friends over to our house. We all had a great time and the boys really
enjoyed Christmas.
---------------------------------------------------------------
12/16/2005 - New pictures added. This home page will be updated soon with
more details on the boys soon.
---------------------------------------------------------------
12/15/2005 – Stephen pulled up today for the first time. Nothing is now
safe. Also, he tried his first banana today and he loved it.
---------------------------------------------------------------
12/13/2005 – Brendan’s Christmas program was tonight. He stole the show
when he sang louder than the whole kids choir with piano accompaniment.
He was very cute and made everyone laugh.
---------------------------------------------------------------
12/4/2005 – Daddy and Brendan went camping together for Brendan’s first time.
We used his little bee tent that Great Grammy gave him. We had a great time
and Brendan loved having fun with his friends and liked being outside.
---------------------------------------------------------------
11/24/2005 – Happy Thanksgiving from the Watsons. We are enjoying spending
time with family and will be enjoying the holiday. One thing that surprised
us is that Daddy and Stephen were wearing similar golf shirts. He looked at
Daddy’s button and then at his button and back at Daddy’s and back at his.
This kid is smart. He already is ‘matching’.
---------------------------------------------------------------
11/23/2005 – Today when Daddy and Brendan drove by the construction site of
the new football stadium for our local high school, Daddy asked him what that
was. He responded that it was a home for diggers. Also, recently when we
were visiting Great Grandma he saw a picture of Great Grandpa in his Navy
uniform next to his ship. Brendan said that Great Grandpa was a pirate and
that the Navy ship was Great Grandpa’s pirate ship.
---------------------------------------------------------------
10/31/2005 – Brendan and Stephen are excited about Halloween. Brendan will
be a puppy dog and Stephen will be a pumpkin. They are both very cute.
---------------------------------------------------------------
9/25/2005 – Mommy, Brendan and Stephen went with Grandma and Grandpa to Great
Grandma’s house to get out of hurricane Rita’s path. One great thing did
happen though, Brendan is now potty trained due to Great Grandma’s squishy
potty. Her potty seat is padded and that convinced him to take care of
business. Everyone survived just fine and all is well.
---------------------------------------------------------------
8/29/2005 – Stephen tried jar food for the first time today. He loves it.
---------------------------------------------------------------
8/18/2005 – Brendan started Mothers Day Out today. He loves school and looks
forward to each school day.
---------------------------------------------------------------
8/14/2005 – We went with Uncle Danny and Aunt Sarah today to Seaworld. Brendan
loved riding the roller coaster and climbing in the playground. Stephen
slept some at the shows, but for the most part he wanted to see what was going on.
---------------------------------------------------------------
8/11/2005 – Stephen ate his first rice cereal today. He loved it.
---------------------------------------------------------------
8/2/2005 – We took Brendan to the circus for the first time today. He
Absolutely loved it. His favorite was when the elephant used his trunk to
paint a picture.
---------------------------------------------------------------
7/4/2005 - Tonight we got to do some fireworks with Brendan. This was
sparklers and whooper snappers (poppers that you throw on the ground and they
pop). Brendan enjoyed the whooper snappers, but kept trying to blow out the
sparklers. That was very entertaining.
---------------------------------------------------------------
6/26/2005 - Stephen was dedicated today at church. All of the family that
was over yesterday (read who below) were there and we all got to see it.
Then we all went out to eat and had more fun together.
Another momentous occasion happened this evening. Brendan went poo-poo
in the potty. We have been potty training pretty good since the doctor's
appointment, but he has not shown much interest in taking care of the big
stuff in the potty. This time was different. He said 'come on daddy' and
by the time that I got to the bathroom, he had already done his business
and was very proud. I was too.
---------------------------------------------------------------
6/25/2005 - Today we had a mini-family reunion with all 4 of us, Grandma and
Grandpa (Mandy's folks), BeBe and Grandad (Darren's folks), Great Grandma
(Darren's Grandmother), Great Grammy (Mandy's Grandmother), Aunt Michelle
and Uncle Danny and Aunt Sarah. We had a great time playing and enjoying
each other's company.
---------------------------------------------------------------
6/18/2005 - Stephen slept thru the night last night. Boy were we surprised!!
Brendan helped Daddy wash Mommy's car today as well. He really enjoyed running
around and washing off the soap on the car.
---------------------------------------------------------------
6/15/2005 - Both boys went to the doctor today. B's 3 year checkup went
much smoother than we expected. He liked getting his blood pressure checked
and even opened his mouth for the doctor. He only cried when they gave him
his shots. S's shots made him cry pretty hard as well. S even got upset
and wimpered when B started crying when he got his shots.
---------------------------------------------------------------
6/4/2005 - We made our first over night trip to Whitney for the Booth family
reunion. B loved getting his own double bed at the hotel and S slept well
also.
---------------------------------------------------------------
6/3/2005 - Brendan is now 3 years old. How time has flown by. It seems like
yesterday that we brought him home. We love him very much. His latest favorite
food is french fries and chicken, usually when shopping at Walmart. When we
pull into the parking lot, he starts saying french fries and chicken, even
at 8 in the morning. He also says sucker when we pull into the parking lot
of our bank (they give him suckers). His favorite movies are The Great Mouse
Detective, Veggie Tales, Goof Troup and the Muppets (Daddy's favorite as well). He has
been telling us 'I love you' without us prompting him or anything. It gives
you the best feeling when he says it and then gives you a kiss.
---------------------------------------------------------------
5/28/2005 - Brendan's 3-year old birthday party was to day at the YMCA.
We played with a bunch of balls and made volcanoes. I think that all the
kids had a great time and B got a bunch of cool presents from his friends.
---------------------------------------------------------------
5/26/2005 - Brendan and Stephen had their first baby sitter today. BeBe and
Grandad (Darren's parents) watched both boys as Mommy and Daddy got to go
out and catch a movie (Star Wars Episode III). M & D had a great time as
did the boys. Even BeBe and Grandad said that they had a good time (though
I think that they were pretty tired).
---------------------------------------------------------------
5/21/2005 - All 4 of us went to Zube park today to ride the trains. These
are replica trains that are about 6 feet long and pull 3 or 4 rail cars.
You straddle the bench (like riding a horse) and go for a 15 minute ride.
Brendan loved it. He pointed out all the trees as well as the bridges and
other scenic items. We had a great time.
---------------------------------------------------------------
5/19/2005 - Stephen made his first trip to the zoo today. Brendan, Mommy and
Daddy all went and Stephen pretty much slept the whole time. Brendan loved
the snakes best of all, Momma was very excited about that (note the sarcasm).
We had a picnic lunch and Brendan got to ride the merry go round and had a
fantastic time. B also got to ride the train at the park and boy was he happy
about that!!!
---------------------------------------------------------------
5/15/2005 - Stephen is now 1 month old. How time flies!!! He still is so easy.
He sleeps most of the time and only wakes up long enough to eat. This is usually
every 3-4 hours (even at night). He really likes to sleep on his tummy or when
held. He also is a real tooter. He can make noises that sound like they
are coming from an adult.
Stephen and Brendan take baths together now and Stephen really likes them.
Stephen really likes his big brother and smiles every time he sees B. S even
talks to B now. Lots of little coo's. They are really cute!!!
---------------------------------------------------------------
4/29/2005 - Stephen's 2 week appointment was today and he is now 8 pounds
4.5 ozs. The doctor was impressed that he had put on the weight as good as
he had. He hardley ever cries and when he does, it is very quiet.
He is such a cutie.
---------------------------------------------------------------
4/26/2005 - Stephen had a doctor's appointment today and was 7 pounds 14 ozs.
He is doing great. He seems to sleep all the time and nothing really bothers
him. He is so easy.
---------------------------------------------------------------
4/15/2005 - Stephen Lee Watson has officially arrived!!! He came into the world
at 7:49. He weighed in at 7 pounds and 10 ounces and is 20.5 inches long. Mandy,
Darren, Brendan and Stephen are doing great. I'll add pictures as soon as I can.
We are so excited!!!!
---------------------------------------------------------------
4/7/2005 - Today the doctor bumped up the due date to next Friday, 4/15/2005
(tax day) for Stephen's grand entrance to this world. We will have to have a
c-section since he is still breech and we decided that we did not want to have
the doctor try to turn him. So we have a week to get everything in order.
One of the really cool things is that Brendan has decided that it is now
ok for him to feel Stephen kick in mommy's tummy. This is actually a
breakthrough since he really has not wanted much to do with Stephen so far.
---------------------------------------------------------------
3/27/2005 - Happy Easter!
Today we celebrated Easter with Brendan by finding all the eggs that the
Easter Bunny left for him. We took it easy since Mandy was starting to
have contractions. We also tried to spend as much time with Brendan since
we are getting close to Stephen's birth. The funniest thing that happened
was that Brendan did not refer to the Easter Bunny as the Easter Bunny...he
called him 'Little Bunny Foo Foo', which is a song that he sings at school
(mother's day out). After he got all the eggs, he started walking around the
house yelling 'Bunny Foo Foo, Where is you!!!'. He was trying to get the
Easter Bunny to hide some more eggs for him to find. He would open each
egg as he found them and get the goodies out of the egg and throw the shell
away. He even did that after we hid the eggs again and again. In fact,
after we hid the eggs for him for the first time (after the Easter Bunny
hid them), he got so mad that more candy was not in each egg. So then he
started putting his candy back into the egg so that when we hid them for the
rest of the day, he would continue to find goodies in the eggs. We did
not dye Easter eggs this year since Brendan is still allergic to eggs.
---------------------------------------------------------------
2/14/2005 - Happy Valentine's Day!
Today we celebrated Valentine's Day with Brendan by taking him to the zoo.
We started out with a train ride around the park and Mommy and Daddy enjoyed
watching Brendan smile and giggle the entire train ride. Then, we wandered
around the zoo and Brendan got to point and name all the animals to us (many
animals are called by their animal sound still). He said his favorites were
the tiger, elephants, and the giraffes. We were shocked that he also enjoyed
the zoo's merry-go-round (unlike his experience on one a year ago). Our day
ended with both Brendan and Mommy crashing on the way home, but then playing
the rest of the evening.
---------------------------------------------------------------
1/30/2005 - Brendan is growing so fast, that it is hard to keep up with him! He has not
been too excited about us talking about baby Stephen coming soon to stay. We
have gotten out toys and clothes for the nursery, and Brendan goes around
pointing to it all saying, "Mine!" When Mommy asks if he wants to feel the
baby kick, he replies "No!" and asks us to feel his baby instead (his belly
button). As you can tell, the "terrible twos" have really been showing, and
we hear new phrases like "I don't want to!" or "You do it!" But despite
these trying times, he does have his loving moments to. He really worries
about "owies" (when he or someone gets hurt) and likes to problem solve and
frequently asks "What happened?" Stephen is very active, especially at
night, and Mommy and Daddy look forward to his arrival in late April.
---------------------------------------------------------------
12/26/2004 - Merry Christmas!
Well, Brendan did not enjoy Santa this year again when we visited him.
However, he excitedly talked about him the whole trip there and the whole
way back home. When asked what he wants for Christmas, he said he wanted a
"choo-choo" and a basketball. Brendan was a good boy this year, so Santa
gave him what was on his list plus much, much more! It was also a special
Christmas because we got to visit with so many relatives. We visited Uncle
Danny and Aunt Sarah Christmas Eve morning at BeBe and Grandad's house. That
night, we got SNOW!!! Brendan was in awe and we bundled him up and had a
blast playing in the snow together as a family. We spent the night there and
had Christmas morning with BeBe, Grandad, Aunt Sissy, and Great Grandma.
That afternoon, we drove to Grandma and Grandpa's house and had Christmas
evening with them and Aunt Michelle. It was a very memorable Christmas!
---------------------------------------------------------------
12/19/2004 - Stephen has been very active. He is really keeping Mandy busy. She has not been sick as much lately, which has been great for Brendan and I.
Brendan has been talking more and more lately. He has been saying 'High' whenever he sees an airplane. He also says Santa and noseman (snowman). He also calls Darren's parents, BeBe and Granddad and Mandy's parents ma and pa (even though they want Grandma and Grandpa).
---------------------------------------------------------------
12/8/2004 - We found out today that we are having another boy. We are really excited and can't wait until we get to see him for real.
---------------------------------------------------------------
11/13/2004 - #2 now has a heartbeat of 156 bpm. I'm not sure if that is supposed to be boy or girl, but we'll see.
---------------------------------------------------------------
11/12/2004 - B is growing up so fast. He has become pretty independent. He will get his own snacks (sometimes without us knowing). He likes to snack on Pringles, pretzels, fun fruit and french fries. There are 2 main food groups, ketchup and Pringles. He will dip his green beans or lima beans in ketchup. He also likes smoothies, Icees, Jamba Juices (he can only have a certain one because of his milk allergy), chicken nuggets from McDonalds, daddy's ribs, bologna and pork loins. His favorite restaurant is McDonalds, but he will also likes Burger King and Taco Bell. B & daddy do almost all of the grocery shopping. We normally go to Wal-mart and get him an order of french fries and he will eat those as we shop. He stays in the basket most of time, but lately he has been expressing interest in pushing the basket for me, so I will let him do that.
We expect that a trip to Santa will probably be a bust again this year. I say that because Wal-mart has a little 4 or 5 foot tall mechanical Santa that sings and dances. B will shrink down in the basket and watch thru the bars of the basket when we get close. Once we start moving away from it he will stand back up and look at the Santa. If I start moving back towards the Santa, then he will drop down in the basket again. I guess if we are to have a chance with Santa this year, it may have to be a group picture.
He also is talking a ton now. Here is some definitions of what he says : Cows=tow (sounds like cow but with a T), fish=pishy, sorry=sowee, horse=yee haw, train=cho cho
B loves going to Mother's day out. When he finds out that he gets to go to "school", he gets so excited and runs to find his backpack and then runs to the back door so that he can get to the car. He is taking a nap there (he really is) and is doing well there. He now has a Buzz Lightyear backpack and it is almost as big as he is. In fact, when he carries it he puts it on his back but has to hold his hands together because it will fall off his back if he doesn't. It is really cute.
B is such a good boy. Mandy has been very sick since the beginning of this pregnancy. If she is sick when daddy is not around, he will say 'Mommy sick' and rub her back. He even ran into the other room and brought back several tissues when she was getting sick. Recently daddy was out of town and B told me 'I miss you'. It was so sweet. I wanted to run right home and give him a hug.
---------------------------------------------------------------
10/29/2004 - Danny came to the house today for a quick visit and to do some computer stuff with Darren. He even got up with Brendan this morning. B really enjoyed having Uncle Danny come to visit. He calls him Dah-nee. In fact, Danny slept in B's room on the spare bed in there. What is crazy is that B still sleeps in his baby crib. He could climb out of it if he really wanted to, but chooses not to. We really don't understand why not, but at this point we are not going to rock the boat. We at least know where he is when we put him in bed at night. Anyway, B wakes up in the morning and gets Mandy and/or me up by yelling HEY until someone comes and gets him. Today however, he started yelling HEY and Danny responded by saying WHAT. B didn't know that Danny was there so he was a bit surprised.
After I got up with the other 2 guys (Mandy was feeling sick due to baby #2), we went to IHOP for breakfast. As we left there, B stopped at each table and told the people at the table bye and then blew them a kiss. Everyone was laughing pretty hard at him and he was eating it up. Danny got a kick out of it as well. Maybe B will start the baby bug in Danny's household....we'll see.
---------------------------------------------------------------
8/18/2004 - Today I got some great news. B was wearing a shirt that says 'I'm a big brother'. I am very excited. #2 is on it's way. He doesn't understand what is going on, but maybe in 9 months he may.
---------------------------------------------------------------
8/17/2004 - today B started Mother's day out. He was willing to go and seemed like he really enjoyed it. Mommy nearly cried when he got out of the car. Her comment was 'He is so big'. He even put on his backpack and walked into the building holding the teacher's hand. It was really sweet.
---------------------------------------------------------------
6/3/2004 - B turned 2 today. We celebrated by having piggies, which is little smoky sausages wrapped in a biscuit. He loves them. He then got his present from Mommy and daddy, a train table for his trains (cho chos). He is growing like a weed and he keeps us busy when he is running around. We love him so much.
